They whine out of one side of their mouth that the government(Liberals) are trying to restrict their rights with gun control laws, but out of the other side of their mouth, they want to force their views of anti-choice on women when it comes to abortion.

Oh, their hypocracy extends much farther than that.

As far as hypocrisy goes, there's plenty to go around for both sides of the isle. I'm not sure, however, that your question will incite much worthwhile discussion since it is so loaded. One could argue, for instance, that it's hypocritical for Ted Kennedy to argue against gun ownership when he has bodyguards that carry machine guns. One could also argue that it is hypocritical for Nancy Polosi to talk about fiscal discipline when she has the most expensive plane ever owned by a Speaker of the House. Oddly enough, I'm a pretty liberal guy. I agree with you that there is great hypocrisy among the Republican Party; however, I disagree with your method of inciting "preach to the choir" style discussion. Was the point of your "question" to get a bunch of people to write telling you how correct you are? If that's the case, then you are probably lacking in self esteem. The proliferation of news sources already lets you hear people back up your proclivities 24/7. Why waste our time with it on Yahoo Questions?

It simply stems from the belief that a fetus is an innocent human life that if allowed to develop will be born.

We view it as protecting the rights of the baby instead of restricting the rights of the woman.

With the exception of rape, the woman made a choice to risk becoming pregnant. Abortion in my view is extinguishing the rights of the baby because the woman doesn't want to own up to her own personal responsability.

You have made a blanket statement that all republicans are hypocrites. Your first mistake is that not all republicans are against abortion. Your second is assuming all Democrats are for abortion and against guns or are you saying all Democrats are hypocrites?

Finally you should go read the pro-life and NRA opinions before making comments...you will look smarter that way.
