I am separated for a while. I am planning to own a new place. I am wondering, do I have to add my separated spouse’s name on the deed? By the way I am Canadian.

I dont want to have any chaos on this new property.

Thanks-

Don't add anyone else's name to anything.

No way lady!! If your divorce isn't final make sure you have a good lawyer and ensure that your former hubbie cant have any hold on this property!
