The gossip girls series is a really good one, i loved them! The a-list is a good series too.... um, the rise and fall of a 10th grade social climber is a great book. To kill a mockingbird, how the garcia girls lost their accents, harry potter are always good ones, the hobbit and lotr trilogy etc... The giver along with it's two other books the messenger and gathering blue. I think you'll love these all, i'm 16 and i do =) but my fav fav fav would have to be the inheritance series, eragon, eldest and the one that is yet to be released-- empire! They are a fantasy triology written by christopher paolini and they are captivating! The movie sucked tho...

Hey! sarah dessen and scott westerfield are very good authors. ( I just finished reading pretties <3) Well if you like thhose you will LOVE twilight by Stephanie Meyer. Its amazing. I love it soooo much. its about a girl that falls in love with a vampire. FYI its way more romantic than scary. Its very very very good.
I hope that helps.

Okay, these are all of the books that I love, and those that those who are also fans of Scott Westerfeld like. Lots are fantasy, but they're all good! The ones with stars are the ones that are (IMHO) best for the ones that you've mentioned.

**Twilight by Stephanie Meyer**
The Clique or Gossip Girl Series
**Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin**
The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot
Go ASk Alice by Anonymous
books by Francesca Lia Block
Crank by Ellen Hopkins
**Alt Ed**
The Lost Years of Merlin by TA Barron
A Wrinkle in TIme by Madeleine L'Engle
anything written by Jane Yolen
**Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson**
Lois Duncan's books
Neil Gaiman's books
Tell Me What YOu See
No Child's Game by ANdrea White

I don't know the name of the author, but I'm sure you could search it. The name of the book is called "The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things." It was a fantastic read, it actually had me laughing out loud in some points, which is very hard for a writer to accomplish. My mother read it, and loved it, and I bought a copy for a friend, who couldn't stop reading it. It is the story of an overweight girl trying to deal with life. It spans one school year, in which she has her first kiss, loses her best friend, has significant family troubles, struggles with her weight and her mother's reaction to her weight, and naturally, the struggles she faces at school. I recommend it to every young girl, overweight or not, because everyone can relate to this girls problems, and it is truely a fantastic read.

I would recommend A Great And Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. I would also definitely recommend the Harry Potter Books.

For something really good, and a little bit out of the ordinary for you, I would try Fire Starter by Stephen King.

What a great book and a great main character! Charlie is a little girl who for reasons both confusing and unknown to here was born with the ability to start fires – with her mind!

I loved Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty! I could identify so well to the main character. If you enjoy this book, McCafferty has written 2 other sequels and a new one is due out soon.

If you are looking for something dark there is a book called Lovely Bones. I forget who the author is, but it is a very good story set in the 70's.

The Gossip Girl series is pretty good, I personally heart them. And I just got this new book to read over Spring Break called Skinny Dipping, and it looks pretty darn good.
