I'm having trouble with my iPod and people say to "restore" it but I don't know what that means or what it will do to my iPod...I'm scared...
here's the problem:(I have the nano 2nd generation 4GB)
when i want to go forward a song, I click the >> on the thumb pad. it SHOULD go forward one song, but instead it skips around and goes ahead 2 or 3 songs. A similar thing happens when I simply click a song to play; the songs will skip. I can see them skip because the pictures of the albums and such flash upon the screen...

It puts youre ipod back to factory settings. So it erases all your songs essentially. If you're having trouble with your iPod, back up all of your songs and than restore it. It should be fine after that.

Yea it does duhh RESTORE what does that usually mean.IT ERASES everything to its ORIGIONAL SETTINGS AND SONGS WHICH ORIGIONALLY IT HAD NO SONGS
