Since you weren't a heavy drinker, you may not notice huge changes.
Consider yourself lucky (and smart) for quitting before you were drinking every day. I had the opportunity to watch a stone-drunk go cold-turkey sober. It wasn't pretty to watch, and it was apparently horrible to experience. In his case, the daily (10+ years) drinking took a terrible toll on his liver.
He's been sober for almost 15 years. And I know that if he'd kept drinking, he wouldn't have been around much longer at all.
If you think the alcohol was causing problems with your partner, then it probably was. What will take a bit more work is figuring out WHY you drank, and what you were avoiding dealing with while sober.
Just because you didn't "suffer" from withdrawal, doesn't mean you shouldn't CELEBRATE your sobriety!! Congrats to you.....keep it up, one day at a time.

I drink daily (have for years), and I gave up alcohol for Lent. Cold Turkey as of Ash Wednesday. Alcohol makes me lazy, or actually feeds my natural laziness tendencies, so I've been more productive over the last few weeks - got my taxes done earlier this year. I've lost some weight (drinking water instead of rum+coke adds up to far fewer calories). I'm not sure it has helped my relationships - perhaps I pay attention to my wife & kids more, but my wife doesn't seem to notice a difference. I don't miss the buzz, so I suppose I'm not alcoholic. But I do miss the taste of wine with meals. I've already picked what white wine I'll be drinking with our Easter meal.

The better question is why you feel the need to drink. What do you think you get out of it? There is nothing wrong with a drink every now and again. Everything in moderation.
