Personally I believe the majority of the Iranian people want to live in peace, but they like most of the other Middle Eastern countries have Dictators or the government governs by fear.

Iran has in no way directed a threat to the United States.
The only threat that Iran represents is that they are a majority Shiite population and could theoretically become an ally to the newly formed Iraqi government, which is also majority Shiite.
Should this happen, the US would have little or no influence in the region due to its continued heavy handed tactics in dealing with Iran, i.e., 'axis of evil' and failing to negotiate.
Lets hope things change for the better.

Iran is a threat to the entire world. They are the bank of Fundamental Islam. The place is run by fanatics who believe Islam is the only way and any other way or thought is and should be punishable by death.
How can you tell if an answer is honest?

Yes but this adm seems to be fueling animosity all over the world with the 1000 military bases forced/pressured into most countries. In Italy US has a big base in nostalgic town and now US is going to double it. An Italian lady said we don't pay for the water or electrity there. There are 37 US bases in Okinawa, sound peaceful?

Hey rp, didn't he say no political answers! Stupid idiot.
I honestly don't trust any of those countries out there. Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan....they are the sources of all this terrorism. I think they are a threat because if they don't get their country under control, that could greatly affect us. It already has affected us. It has been for decades. We are just finally starting to take care of it.

Not specifically a threat to the U.S. but indirectly a threat because the maniacal in Iran cannot be trusted to keep their nuclear materials from the terrorists.

Certainly, Iran could shut down the Persian Gulf cutting off a good bit of the world's oil supply. Of course, they would hurt themselves in the process, but this is something the think tanks worry about.
