To find the y-intercept you substitute 0 for x which gives
2(0)-y=8
0-y=8
-y=8
y=-8 so the x-intercept is (0,-8)
The x-intercept is when you plug in 0 for y
2x-0=8
2x=8
x=4
so the y-intercept is (4,0)

Actually when you put in zero for x, you get the y-intercept, and vice versa. So 2x - 0 = 8, 2x=8, x=4 means the x-intercept is 4, or as a point, (4,0)

put it in point slope form. y=mx+b. b=the y intercept. then graph it I guess.
