In Pokemon Diamond & Pearl, is the Dark Ball better than the Ultra Ball or equal?

I just wanted to know because it is a nice way that you can play at night again. I'm wondering because if it is better than Ultra Balls, then I will make Dark Balls my favorite.

With the darkball it increases the chance that you will catch a pokemon at night-time or in dark areas (like caves) by X4. So in given situations it will be more effective than using an ultra ball.
