No, they probably let them sell their shoes there. Its good advertising about american eagle and people will want to go there. I have a pair of ballet flats from AE but i got them in payless.

I am the assistant manager at American Eagle Outfitters so I can answer your question CORRECTLY. In NO SHAPE OR FORM do the American Eagle shoes at Payless Shoe Store have anything to do with American Eagle Outfitters. I am not sure how or why Payless is getting away with it but I guess time will tell if if will stay that way. American Eagle would never let someone else sell their product, we can sell it just fine in OUR stores. Hope that helps! ;o)

I've seen the shoes by "American Eagle" in payless stores. They might have made a deal with Payless..like alot of store brands will sometimes give the rights of their product to other companies. Like Poptarts gave their rights to America's Choice.

no, one may be marked american eagle outfitters and the other may be marked american eagle. their pretty much the same but they are from the same parent company. they arent fake but their another line made by the company to sell at payless. they want to make it affordable and a lot of designers make different lines at chain stores.

Is one of them american eagle and the other is american eagle outfitters? If thats true then they do not have the same name. Therefore there is nothing wrong with it.

yes they are two different brands.
I'm not really sure about the name thing, but i've heard of music artists [[like mariah carey]] sue people just for their names even tho they aren't really even similar.
