While I don't support either of the parties, I do not agree that Sinn Fein is involved in any racketeering or illegal activities, and more importantly neither does the IMC (International Monitoring Commission) nor does Ian Paisley, or he wouldn't have agreed to a coalition.

The events you describe were carried out by rogue dissidents, far out of the political spectrum. Everyone (as manifested in the election) in Northern Ireland now agrees on the way forward and as difficult as it may be to swallow for both sides, we now have agreement and the opportunity to get ourselves out of the nightmare of the last 30 years.

I haved lived through most of the troubles in Northern Ireland, and can say that I am, possibly for the first time in my life, proud of what our politicians have done today. They (both sides) were able to put aside a generation of hatred and reach a difficult agreement for the benefit of us all.
