My breast are oversize,42DD, and I have terrible neck and should pain. I would like to know especially about the recovery period and pain involved, as I do not have anyone to care for me during this and I am nervous about having it done.

I had no pain only discomfort during my recovery.

If you plan good, you will not need to worry about someone caring for you after your surgery. You should not drive for a week afterwards though.

You are on light duty for at least two weeks (more if you have an active physical job) and it will take a month or so to get back into the normal routine.

This forum http://www.breasthealthonline.com has a TON of information for you as well as a support board for those thinking of and going through breast reduction journey.

good luck and if you need anymore information give me a shout.

BHO also has bras for sale for cheap if you want to buy one or two for after the surgery. You'd buy one in your current band size and one a size larger (to account for swelling).

It hurts REALLY badly afterwards, but it's incredibly worth it. You don't really need anyone to take care of you (just someone to drive you home that day), as long as you don't need to reach up over your head for anything. My recovery period was about 1 month long total, but it got better as time went along. The first week was the worst. I was bruised, I bled a lot and my breasts were swollen to twice the size they are now, so it didn't really look like anything had been reduced or changed. Get a sports bra that zips up the front (no way do you want to pull on a regular sports bra over your head when you have incisions over your breasts) so you can change into that easily at night and after your showers. It will help protect your breasts, which will help them heal. You can use gauze pads on the incision bleeding, and just put them down in the sports bra. It's pretty scary to go into, but you'll be a lot happier when you come out on the other side. Just make sure you find a surgeon you're comfortable with who answers your questions and takes his/her time when he/she is measuring you and marking you up. Otherwise, look for someone else.

Going through with surgery, no matter the type, can be scary and nerve wracking! If you are uncomfortable with your size, then you are doing the right thing and trying to do something about it. Especially if it is hurting! There are various types of surgery, as I am sure you have researched. Pick the one that suits you and plan for the post-op pains. No matter the pain, the reduced size will eventually be a blessing to you.

Well first just try to exercise your arms , neck and back muscles and see if that helps. But as far as I know you go just liek if you getting them bigger but they can make them smaller, too. All you have to do is go see a doctor who will do it and he can tell you what you can do and how long it will take. But if I was your bf I would help you carry them all over. You know I would have my hands all over you and them.
