I'm also in advertising and in the same boat as you. You know exactly how to advertise any to consumers, but when it comes to B2B advertising you're not sure what to do.

Well from my experience, cold calling sucks, which is why I don't do it. It's way too easy for your prospect to say "no" and hang up the phone before they even hear about your program. Since you advertise in Dahl's pharmacies, why don't you walk through the doors of the businesses close to Dahl's?

Walk into a business and ask to speak with the owner/manager/person in charge...don't forget the small talk. And ignore the "No Soliciting" sign. Have a leave-behind flyer if they tell you the manager isn't in, or to get the heck out...especially if you just walked through a door that had "No Soliciting" posted on it. Otherwise, give your pitch. You'll get much better results than cold calling. I can tell you that from experience.

Also, you might consider a referral program. Get your current clients and any clients you get to sign up to spread the word for you. Maybe offer some free advertising or a free gift card for every referral. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising and referral programs are a great way to accomplish it.

Well I hope that helps a bit. This advertising sales can be pretty rough some times, but hang in there. Good luck!

Just a question ... If you're capable of helping other business with advertising, why don't you apply your own techniques to your business?
