I was just on a website and there was a picture of one of the "Real Housewives of Orange County" with a comment about her...

"Is anything about her real?? But men love women like her! As surgey-made as she appears to me, SHE is married! I am not! Men prefer FAKE apparently."

Reading this inspired me to ask this question.

It's not that I like to be fake, because I'm not, but I prefer to look good. I like looking good for ME. If liposuction is going to get rid of that fat that I can't work off then I'm going to do it. I honestly prefer to be the size 2 that i am than a size 12, which is the average american woman dress size.

Men: Do you prefer fake women, or is it that you prefer women that look good, with or without any work done? Do you prefer an average women or one that has work done?

Women: How do you feel about plastic surgery? Would you prefer to have plastic surgery to fix something or to make yourself more beautiful?

BE HONEST!!!

I would love to have plastic surgery, but nothing that would be obvious. I have absolutely NO desire to have work done on my face. No face lift, no botox, no eyebrow lift, etc. I'd like to have a tummy tuck, thigh plasty and a breast lift with *SMALL* implants. I had surgery several years ago to lose weight, and I certainly did, but now I have a little extra skin to show for it. It's causing me no discomfort and isn't obvious to anyone but me, but it bothers me, so I'd like to have it gone. That's all I want though. As for my face, I'm very happy with it, so no knifing up my face, thank you!

Female: I've had surgery for a serious illness, and I can tell you its not fun or something you want to do lightly. So, no, I would not go through that just look a little better. Anyone who doesn't like the way I look naturally can take a hike as far as I'm concerned. As for getting married/attracting a mate - I've been happily married for almost 18 years now. Its whats in between the ears that really counts.

I know how you feel and I am dissappointed men find women who are so shallow they make themselves into a plastic creation attractive!

Personally, more power to them if that is what they want to do, but I think that natural beauty and inner beauty (as cheesy and cliche as that may sound) prevails. People who have beauty that extends beyond what anyone with a couple thousand dollars can have is more rare and desirable.

Male - Prefer real women. I'll take flaws any day over the fake. If she's putting so much effort into changing her looks, what else about her is not real?

If your intention is to look good to yourself, go ahead. But if you want to appeall to someone else, stay yourself.

Any time you go against nature by getting plastic surgery, there will be effects - spiritually, physically, mentally. I wouldn't be comparing myself with that and I feel sorry for the housewives who feel like they need to keep up with something in their own heads that says that they aren't perfect.

by fake do you mean plastic surgery? what about make up? eyebrow waxing, botox, etc?

anyway, i feel that if plastic surgery helps you to feel better about yourself, by all means go for it. however, I guess i'm kind of a hypocrite when it comes to this - for instance i don't mind braces, getting your smile fixed, getting your nose fixed, etc etc but I do mind breast implants. I guess for me the first couple of just "fixing" what you've already got, and implants are just totally fake. That's just my opinion, anyway.

Anyway, plastic surgery doesn't only apply to women for me. If a man feels that he would feel better about himself if he got something done, I'm all for that too.

sometimes i feel that people like 'fake' people not because they're fake, but because they look like they maintain themselves well, and are proud of it.

Men will say they prefer real, but then go after fake. The simple conclusion is they actually prefer what looks like Barbie.

some men perfer fake so they dont have to worry about getting them pregnant and others like real because its the real thing. and honestly i think plastic surgery is the work of the devil used to lure in dumb people because they dont like how god wanted them to look.
