I live in Texas and love it here but I have to give props to California for having so many cool songs about it. (about half of all RHCP songs are about California LOL).

I suppose, aside from jokes, it'd be the state you live in, unless you're one of those people that hate where you live. Personally, I haven't lived anywhere besides NM and WA, but I think I like WA better. So, WA is the coolest state.
And, haha, to the Alaska being the coolest. Also, good on the Windy State...

I went to West Virginia last summer and they have the most beautiful state! They have mountain climbing, whitewater rafting, skiing, hiking and ( I don't hunt ) I hear their hunting is awesome if you're into that. They even have casinos and horse racing tracks - who knew? The people were not what I had heard they were like either, they were really cool. Props to West Virginia.

I think Wisconsin is the best state...the change of seasons is beautiful and everyone is very friendly and there's a lot of different landscapes to see. I also am partial to Hawai'i because of how great the people are and how relaxing it is.

Hawaii. that's the only island plus that is fairly ideal! attracts many ppl and in spite of the reality that it has the full lively volcano element that is nonetheless an excellent place to bypass to and/or stay
