Of course you have the right to say that. As long as you dont mind some over zealous conservative calling you a traitor and demanding you be sent to Gitmo for being a traitor.

Yes I do. I can say down with the flag, US sucks. It may not be well received and I am sure I will get an ear full, but I have the absolute right to say it. Other people have the absolute right to say I'm a A**hole traitor. This is not my position but I have the right to speak my mind even if it is not politically correct.
I can and do say our President sucks, he is a liar, he has done such harm to our country, I'm not sure it can ever be fixed. His war has hurt our goodwill all around the world, and is personally responsible for the increasing unrest in the middle east.
This is still a great country, we have our problems but I don't think I would want to live anywhere else in the world. Partly because I am allowed to disagree.
So yes we can speak out against our government.

I don't think American has a monopoly on freedom of speech. Also, it should not have a monopoloy on freedom of speech or any other human rights.
Also, just a note, just because a person has freedom of speech does not mean that person is allowed to use it. If you read the news in the US you can find plenty of examples of people having their speech suppressed.

You DO NOT have the right to kick someone's butt for saying something you do not agree with. Even if you are a vet. There is no clause in the US Constitution that says freedom of speech as long as you do not anger a vet in which case the vet can assault you. Learn the laws. You will go to jail if you beat up someone because you did not agree with them.
Of course, you probably have very limited intelligence and do not realize that there is something called laws. If you were tossed in jail for beating up someone, you would probably think you were the victim.

Compared to some countries, the USA doesn't have an incredible record on freedom of speech. There aren't many government restrictions on speech, but there is a lot of self-restriction for fear of being called a traitor or whatever, which ensures that most media outlets are pretty close to the centre. However, Europe doesn't have a perfect record. In some countries you can be jailed for Holocaust denial; and Merkel wants to make this Europe-wide. I'm personally torn on this one, as I hate Holocaust deniers, but it is an infringement of freedom of speech.
EDIT: Christ sake people, the guy's not American. Your comments about 'taking advantage of our freedoms' are stupid.

Technically, no. We have the right to say what we're gonna say regardless of what others believe. But we are limited on many topics. If we wish to say something that objects to our government, we may face dire consequences for our actions. Many people are afraid of the implications of free speech and choose to silence themselves, but that silence is self-imposed. If we speak in ignorance, we our free to yap our traps. If we can prove what we say is true about our government and present that truth on a grand scale to millions and compromise the plausible deniability of any claims or actions, then we have jeopardized ourselves. We are not that great, and our 'rights' aren't everything they are cracked up to be. Americanism in theory was far greater than America in practice. The Constitution is never really applicable, but it is a nice looking mission statement that hangs in our minds when we like to be patriotic and march to beat of trainers drum, as opposed to thinking for ourselves. But we're also not that bad, and neither is life in America. There are several sides to that story, and none of them is any more false or true than it's alternative, but they all impact different life styles and people differently, and that is truly what establishes the Caste system in America and separates one man's experience from the next.

Haven't you been reading what other people have been saying? I can say down with America whenever I want. It's when I take an active role to down America that the government steps in.
You need to get your head out of your a$$ and stop attacking Americans. If you have such a big problem with it, move to another planet. At least we'd be rid of you.

You could say it at risk of getting your *** kicked or ridiculed, but I think the bigger problem would be finding somewhere to say it given that most areas where people congregate are privately owned now.

yes , people bash the president on a daily basis , if that is not freedom of speech i don't know what is . Also , we have many "flag burners" in this country that do not get in trouble , they are called liberals
