Okay well i have been hearing this song on the radio all the time and i can't figure out what the name is! No one I know seems to know either. okay so this is going to sound dumb, but here are some of the lyrics from the song.. it starts:

Yes, Rob Thomas, as it is a great song, as ABC used it to premier their Thursday nite line up (Grey's Anatomy, etc.)
Plus, the rest of his album is great, also!
