I play ice hockey now but am going away to college next fall. I was thinking about playing some roller hockey, or just playing around on rollerblades when I get there since they have no ice hockey team.

I suppose you can't do a hockey stop on rollerblades, and since the rollerblades you buy for roller hockey don't have stops on them, I don't know how you would stop. Would you do a T-stop? How do you do that?

I have played roller hockey for over ten years and ice for over 15.

You can hockey stop with roller blades pending what type of skates. If you purchase roller blades fom tour mission or rbk and combine them with the right hardness of wheel Its not real difficult.

it takes a little practice letting your feat slide side ways but it does work

Dont drag your foot or your toe
You will be buying new wheels in no time

Do a real sharp turn or drag your left foot. I went from ice to roller and just couldn't get used to not being able to do the quick stops and starts you can on real blades.
