I hadn't realised that a previous group captured by the Iranians had been put through sessions of mock execution. IE. all marched into a pit blindfolded, the sound of guns being loaded, giving them the genuine belief that they were about to be shot. What does the Geneva convention say about that? I notice that wasn't in the press at the time, because it would have caused an outrage. What will happen this time, and will we be told.

As far as the current captives are concerned, the BBC are only serving to help the Iranians by broadcasting the emotional reactions of the captives families. Whose side are they on? and shouldn't they keep their unpatriotic noses out?

No...
It's political suicide. They are in a no win situation with this one. They are looking for ways to save face. I expect them to be released in a few days.
