if on myspace someone emailed someone else that they thought they were fat and hideous could they get you in trouble with the law or would it be freedom of speech?

Well, it is anyone's right to speak there mind. However, there are laws set in place all over the world for slander. I think if you emailed someone personal for there eye's only and told them what you thought of them with out treating there life then there is nothing they can legally do about that.

But if you think someone is fat and hideous it really isn't important to tell them. Because they proably already know unless you are just trying to hurt there feelings.

That's freedom of speech and if they don't like it they can delete it.

umm...i dont really see how someone could get in trouble for giving another person their opinion on the other hand if that person gave a threat or something to fear then maybe
