How can this be fair?
It is very sad that a peron can speak of killing a family pet ....LIKE IT IS NORMAL ....just because it bit......Dogs bite for a reason 99% of the time.

I know and I completely agree with you. I feel sorry for dogs lately (even though I have one...) because I feel like humans have taken them out of their element and forced them to be more person than animal.

they don't realize that they are more evil than a dog that can be tamed. yet the dog may carry a disease, but people carry disease too and you don't see anyone dying for that. it's because they think they are protecting the children that may get hurt. they also believe that they are avenging the person who may have been attacked by that dog. yet they don't see that there was a reason that the dog attacked someone. it may be a reason that will never be found out. all animals do the same thing. they all attack humans and each other for reasons. [just like we do, i mean seriously].

It's not fair, but humans are at the top of the food chain, so they get to decide. Not much in life is fair. If you are like me and have dogs, then they likely eat better than 50% of the children on this rock. Definitely that is not fair.

we had a lawsuit put against us once becasue we would not put our dag to sleep because it bit someone, but we were arguing that that person had come into our yard when they were not supposed to be there and after like a year they finally got charged and our dog got to live but i agree with you that they should not be put to sleep because most of the time it is for a reason and the dog is only acting on instinct

Humans can control impulsive behavior more than dogs because of the way their brains are developed.

I agree, It is not fair. They are faithfull and loving and would give their life for us. And we take it from them for stupid reasons. Some will say a dog needs to learn, well i guess it cant learn when it is dead. Its pathetic and sad.

very true....but alot depends on why the dog bit....did it get out and chase after a child ? it is sad the animal must suffer when it is almost always the owners fault.....

Peta kills dogs who don't bite anyone/anything, why shouldn't the ones who do bite be put to sleep?
