Is it because of the sterotypes! Scared that we might blast you, maybe? I bet if you didnt like blacks you wouldn't make certain remarks about us in the hood, or would you? I mean based upon all these wonderful stereotypes, what do you think? What im trying to get to is why cant ALL RACES realize that these are only stereotypes, that can be CHANGED if we all put an effort into it!

White people are just scared they are going to get their asses kick. One thing I don't get is why do black people tell me that the person we are talking about is a typical black person. Being racist to their own race? It's just like the holocaust. Supposedly the Jews had more money and the Germans were jealous. The African Americans that live in my area are doing great, and the white people are just jealous. The colour of people's skin doesn't bother me, it's the person's personality

I can't answer for all people but I can respond to your question. It sounds as if you are ready for a nation wide culture change but I think you are going to have to start small to truly see first hand results. One problem with your question is that there is a stereotype present against everyone who is not black. The assumption has been made that everyone has the same poor opinion of black people. My very first friend was a black child who was my next door neighbor. I grew up in schools that were desegregated. My children have had black friends spend the night in my home. My best friend in college is black. I have worshipped God alongside of black Christians. If you are truly searching for people who do not stereotype, the first step is to let go of your own stereotypes. The second is to go to places where white and black people interact. It could be a church or a college. Third, when you get there approach people who are not black and spend time getting to know them. It is very easy to blame everyone else for a lack of change, it is much harder to create change. I hope this gives you hope that maybe not everyone is a racist. And if you are still not sure I suggest you borrow a copy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's speeches from a library and count all of the white supporters in his crowds. Unfortunately it seems that all of the publicity goes to the negative crowd and the white people who fought for civil rights alongside the blacks have been forgotten in the rush to label all whites as racists.

Every race has stereotypes. There is always going to be somebody who will judge somebody else of another race. A lot of black people judge a lot of white people just as bad! It's like that all over the world, I really think there are much bigger conncers, stereotypes.. will always be there, but we don't have to keep bringing them up.

Intelligent people are not quick to judge someone based solely on race. Problem is, the stupid people are in the majority. Stupidity does not come in one race or even in one social enviroment. We ALL get to share them. It is easier for some to hate than to understand. Sad. Sad. Sad

it has come from the long line of discrimination and hate that has come from all the prejudice that was born in this country. it came from where whites [basicly] have treated many people of diiferent races badly and now are desperately trying to make things right, yet at the same time they judge blacks because they are afraid of how we will react. they just are scared and want to kkep themselves from blame or whatever. yet we know sometimes pre-judging is a really dumb thing to do.

... um... well i guess its kinda the message all the presidents and them "role models" that are so quick to judge you so...we follow them as kids and now its stuck in our head...
i really try not to but sumtimes my mind gets the best of me, ill say it out now... personally i do have a lot of friends who are black and they're all really nice ppl. so...i learnt not to judge so quik but again, sumtimes my mind gets the best of me...
