To never have to call anyone 'master'. Nor to ever need to call anyone 'slave.' Either physically or spiritually.
Only a truly free person can experience happiness. And true freedom comes from the use of persuation, not force.

"To thine own self be true." -Shakespeare
Regardless of who enters or exits your life, what education and career you pursue, who your lovers are, where you live, whether or not you have children, or any number of other variables in your life, there is one unvarying truth in the pursuit of happiness: if you aim to please others rather than doing what you know is right for yourself, you will not be happy, for two reasons. First, if you try to please others, you will find that there is always someone who is displeased with you. This will be the case no matter what you do. However, if you do what is right for you, you will find that the people who are happy for you and with you are the people who really cared about your happiness to begin with. Secondly, you cannot live your life for someone else, from the outside in, and expect to be happy and fulfilled from the inside out. Only by accepting who you are, making changes to yourself only when it is in your true best interests and will make you a better person, and living as fully as you can, will you become happy.

To be an active member in your community. To put your heart and soul into your family, and your children. The rewards you get from doing all that could not make a person happier. Monetary things do not make people happy. It is the giving, and the good times you share with your family, and friends.

The most important rule is ... this life is not practice, we only get one go-around, so live life and enjoy it ... and make everyone else's life that much better as you go

Feel Genuinely Grateful for what you have. As a side note to this, feeling as though you already have what you want isn't a bad technique to attract more. Not only that but feeling like you have everything you want is an Amazing feeling. Nothing beats it. Nothing matters if you don't feel good. You can know everything and be in a position to help everyone, but if you don't feel good, it means nothing.

The foremost rule I feel is straight out of biblical text: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
Treat others in the manner you would like to be treated and you will be doing better than most including me.

Put God Almighty first place in every thing you do. Love Him with all your heart, mind, soul and strenght and then you can love your neighbour as you do yourself...

Suspend judgment.
The moment we start to judge, we find something to be unhappy about.
