Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Hollywood Hogan started the nWo. The nWo was huge because this was Hogan's first time as a heel after many years as an accomplished good guy, and very few fans at the time ever pictured this happening. The nWo accomplished mainstream publicity for WCW and Monday Nitro all of sudden became the #1 wrestling show in the world, beating out WWE Monday Night RAW for 84 weeks straight. Quite an accomplishment.

the tree originals members of the NWO were ''Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall and they maintained WCW on the top of the ratings for 88 straight weeks
