Naturally. One method is dyeing an egg into red, orange, green or blue, and then scratching the pattern with a sharp knife. Another - "painting" the pattern with wax and then dyeing. Yet another - dyeing the egg and then painting the pattern on it. And for the hopelessly lazy people, a market is selling colored shrinkwrap plastic sleeves, imitating a painted pattern.

sure! we do it here in America as well. it's a beautiful tradation and the artwork is just amazing! there are som super craftsmen too!
