I chuckled when I heard your question. In some respects yes, But I think if the chracteristics of the people are willing to accept democracy, then it is easy to maintain. Democracy has been practiced with success now in all western countries. In a non-western country ike India, where most people have a rational nature about them, democracy is fairly easy to maintain. But other countries in the middle-east, where the common good is superceded by religious extremism, it is difficult to maintain. On the flip-side, Democracy is fragile becasue it allows the people to vote it out... for e.g., If most people in Russia vote for a communist Gov't, Russia is no longer a democracy.

Politically incorrect, as marriage has nothing to do
with politics. When two people love, are committ-
ed, responsible to each other then marriage is a
great idea, easy to maintain and both persons are
happy all the time, I know as we have been marr-
ied for over 20yrs and are very happy for each
other.
