living in the nyc area i see a ton of hispanics and i always wonder to myself if they are legal or not. many of the people that work at places like mcdonalds or the ramada can barely speak spanglish, let alone coherant english. what percentage of the hispanics you see do you think are here illegally?

I heard that no one really knows, because they don't pay taxes or get counted in the census or anything so it's hard to get an accurate count.
