did anyone like LA LAW back in the 1980's and early 1990's?

I wish that they would bring this show back with an up to date version and great writing and good current leagle issues and stories like Law and Order

i enjoyed the first few seasons of it, as i do any show until either the writers run out of ideas, or as usual, cast members leave to do other shows. kusak left, arnie and rox getting married???, that witch of a new partner, the old couple of lawyers and their problems (ugh) went from show to soap.

I am pretty hard to please when it comes to network television as the original Star Trek series was of my era. However, I did like LA Law for its more often than not imaginative, entertaining and well-written scripts despite the fact that the law office was about as convincing of reality as "Fear Factor."
Harry Hamlin was a totally inept human being and great example of today's corporate anal excavations (how does one say @$$hole nicely?) and the Hispanic lawyer has gone on to fame because he is a quality actor whose name I cannot recall (probably something to do with Owsley acid in the '70's) but do still respond to his newer character portrayals. Closest approach to this show would be "Boston Legal" which includes the rather obese Captain Kirk or William Shatner of ST as "Denny." Would be interesting to see them reprise the Hispanic actor perhaps in his own series to defend illegal aliens in LA to present their struggle for acceptance in a currently hostile country.

I loved it. It was so fresh for the day, but not sure it would work at all now, with the overloaded amounts of shows that have been on recently (Boston Legal, Practice, all the Law and Orders, etc).

No I hated it...i worked for a REAL law firm in Beverly Hills and the show was a bore to me. Lit lite i called it.
