Both shows suck. So unrealistic and inane. You would have to be terribly bored to want to watch either of them. I don't think I have ever finished an entire episode of either one of these moronic shows.
PS: I guess I am not getting 10 points for the best answer after all....Darn it! Both shows still suck though.

quite frankly i am bored with both sitcoms but if I had to pick it woudl be friends all the way. i find the characters on Seinfeld whiny and annoying. It justdoes not catch my interest. friends was a little unrealistic compared to Seinfeld but after all..isn't that why we watch TV in the first place..to get away from reality for a while. I have enough whiny and annoying people in my life that I did not need to add more in the TV programs I watch.

Seinfeld. I can still pop it on and even though I've seen each episode 5, 10, 15 times I can watch it and laugh. Friends is played out. I can't even sit down and watch it. In 10 years you will still find Seinfeld reruns on TVLand.

Friends by far. Through the 10 seasons, they've gone through everything together. It's not necessarily all real, but there are a lot of parts which you can relate to. And you usually identify with one of the characters and then you know other people in your life who represent the Rachel's, Monica's, Phoebe's, Chandler's, Joey's, and Ross'. Basically, Friends has a good balance between comedy and seriousness.

Well, those are my top 2 favorite sitcoms. They both are filled with classic moments. I have to give the edge to Friends, though. I can see a bit of myself in each of the characters and it's really relatable that way.

I like Friends better because the episodes carried parts of the storyline ahead into other episodes - exp. Ross & Rachel's romance.
Seinfeld was funny, but I would have liked to see some of the storylines go further than just one episode. Once the episode was over, I would forget about it.

Friends. I could relate to them, not only by age, but some of their status in their friendships. I more of a mix between Rachel and Phoebe - my friends tell me I'm crazy all the time. I was the only one to cheer for Rachel and Joey. My friends loved Ross, but I didn't.
