need the Gore family "media machine." The Democrats basically "own" the media today. Obama would not want to be her sideshow. Do you think Elizabeth Edwards knows this and that is why she won't quit the campaign?

Unfortunately, you are probably right.
Nothing scarier than having the ABA running the country for the next 4 years. The ACLU would be in charge and VERY happy!

No, I don't think the Edwards, Elizabeth or John, are that calculating. They both really believe that he is the best candidate for the Presidency. I don't agree with them, but I admire their steadfastness. I also don't agree with your assessment of Obama. I predict the Dream Ticket for Democrats will indeed happen. Clinton/Obama '08. He isn't a stupid man, he'll see how much that can add to his future as Presidential candidate at another time - and he's young enough to be able to have that sort of patience. I do find it funny though that you think the Democrats own the media today. Just because the media is reporting on the stink of corruption coming from the White House doesn't make them Democratic sympathizers, it makes them reporters who follow the issues of today. If they ignored it that would indeed be a sign of someone owning them.

I think you have made a good point.
I don't think Hillary would want Obama because he is too strong and can stand alone...he would take too much of her spotlight.
Edwards will get some sympathy votes for sure and that may help to soften Hillary's shrill, sharp, witchy image and she may need that later on down the line.

Assuming she even gets nominated, she'd isolate the minority vote by not picking Obama.

Edwards is a sideshow all on his own at the moment.

It doesn't really matter. The way the Republicans are concentrating so much on the Democrats, you'd think that they don't have any candidates of their own. Oh that's right, they don't.

I think it's premature to make speculations like this one. We don't even know that Hillary will win the Democratic nomination.
