I am getting more than tired of seeing answers like the first person who says ok lets get rid of all immigrants and leave just native americans.
Those people should get real, their ranting and whining isnt solving anything.
There are people who are citizens and there are people who arent. do you all understand that?
too much of anything is bad. The economy of the USA cannot handle the amount of legal immigrants its taking in. The amount needs to be reduced to a manageable level.
And illegals well thats another huge huge problem as well.

(Ron Paul has a plan. He lives on the border for that matter.)
What does this have to do with illegal immigration? Immigrants, particularly illegal Mexican immigrants, have largely found jobs in industries associated with the housing bubble. Immigrants work at jobs in the construction, landscaping, and road construction industries. Employment in the construction industry alone is currently nearly two million jobs above trend (7.7 versus 5.9 million). Of course many of the illegal immigrants are not even counted in such statistics, but just take a look at residential, landscaping, and road construction sites and you are likely to find many non — English-speaking immigrants.

A qoute from Mark Thornton"
"Until very recently, most people agreed with the majority of economists, that there is no such thing as a housing bubble – housing prices, they said, “never go down.” Although there is much diversity in the mainstream camp, it is well illustrated by two economists from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York who recently examined concerns about the existence of a speculative bubble in the U.S. housing market. While McCarty and Peach did find that a housing bubble could have a severe impact on the economy – if it existed and were to burst – they ultimately concluded that such fears were unfounded:
Our main conclusion is that the most widely cited evidence of a bubble is not persuasive because it fails to account for developments in the housing market over the past decade. In particular, significant declines in nominal mortgage interest rates and demographic forces have supported housing demand, home construction, and home values during this period. (2004, 2)
Furthermore they found “no basis for concern” for any severe drop in housing prices. In the past when the U.S. goes into recession or has experienced periods of high nominal interest rates, they found that any price declines have been “moderate” and that significant declines can only happen regionally so that they would not have “devastating effects on the national economy.”

"You don't have to be a rocket scientist to solve these problems. We need to return to the sound monetary policy of the gold standard and an America where education and assistance to the needy are in the hands of the private sector, not government bureaucrats."

I live in Indiana and we are over run with Illegals right now that have taken over all of the construction jobs. The employers invite them here and provide housing for them just like the tomato pickers. They are also receiving Medicaid and food stamps while working under the table without paying any taxes. Thanks George Bush for the illegal immigration watch.

Well I wouldn't agree on legal immigrants being bad for the U.S. since most of us are the legal immigrants of past.
Plus the ones that I have meet that are legal are educated, want to work and hate illegals as much as I do.
So legals very good for the U.S. Illegals very bad!

... What does home foreclosures have anything to do with immigration, legal or illegal? 6 in 10 Americans are in debt. And most Americans have trouble managing their income. Sounds like to me these home foreclosures are due to irresponsible spending that probably affects more American born citizens than immigrants.

Liberals would hide it as long as humanly possible. Personally, I'm sick of going to the atm and having to pick english just to access my account. If they want to come to america, they can pass the test and they can learn the language. I'm not catering to their needs!
