A whole lot of us who are Republicans are not Republicans due to any of those issues. Well, gun control beyond registration and background check is immoral :). But other than that....
However, his apparent insincerity is precisely my biggest problem with him.
A lot of us are still shopping.

Real funny isn't it, well Mitt Romney is another one tying to disconnect from the majority neo-cons, as a smoke screen. He is a polygamist anyway and has about a 2% chance of getting past the Republican nomination anyway.

I honestly don't know all that much about him, but I'm wondering if he was asked to join in the Republican race, but only on certain conditions and would receive political contributions for those changes.

He has admitted he has changed his mind on issues. You have to understand in 2004 things were different. Im not saying I will vote for Romney, but I would vote for him before Id vote for a dem. It is called prostituting himself to gain votes from the "right wing" of the Repugnican party. You know those rabid "Christian conservatives" who go out and vote during the primaries

The same way pro-life, pro-gun Al Gore magically changed his stripes when he started running for national offices.
I call it "election-whoring". It is the most appropriate description for the abandonment of principle for votes.

Once again, no core values that he lives by. Just like the Clintons, which ever way the polls lean , thats the way they go.

Sorry, I'm voting for McCain.
He may not be perfect, but he is better than Guiliani and a WHOLE lot better than anybody who may be on the Dem ticket (at least right now)
