Of course they should! Why shouldn't they? Oh wait, it's because all of your "conservatives" out there would argue that a marriage is between a man and a woman in the eyes of God. If you ask me, I think a union between two people who love and cherish each other of the same sex is more acceptable in God's eyes than a marriage where the husband beats the wife, the wife is neglectant and ignores the kids, the husband and wife fight all the time and don't respect each other, they use the kids against each other to hurt one another, the husband abandons the wife and doesn't pay child support (or vice versa). It drives me crazy when consertative nuts say marriage is between a man and a woman only! A marriage should be a celebration and union between two people who LOVE each other, regardless of sex! I wish people would get into the 20th Century and open their eyes!.. Sigh...

PS. I love how some idiots go around and give people a thumbs down when they support gay marriage, and thumbs up to those who don't. They don't even read the answer. Typical conservative idiots..

Why???? Do they plan on having children and passing a blood line,,, Oh , I forgot, they can't. Well if they should get married just for love, then why can I not marry 3 or 4 women. I can love that many. I would say the reasons for marriage of homosexuals are non existent. In other words, No they should not get married.

I am in no position to judge but if you think that marriage is to have kids, what is the purpose in lesbians getting married?

They can live as common law and have the same benefits from it.

No.

Although I am bisexual myself, I can tell you that gays and lesbians are NOT monogamous for the most part. I know this is politically incorrect to say, and many will hate me for saying it. But it's the truth!

I'm in it for the sex and companionship, I have no interest in a political cause. The results of gay marriage will be disastrous overall on society.

Well, why shouldn't they get married if they truly love each other? If someone can hold a marriage for dogs, then we can most certainly tolerate a marriage for lesbians. If we can't, then we're out of line.

I think it's too easy for people to judge others when they can't see the other side clearly. I was raised in a conservative home, and always taught that homosexuality is wrong. So was my husband. So was my husband's uncle, who is gay. He and his partner had a wedding ceremony, bought a house, and have lived together for years. They are as happy or happier than most married couples I know. It really hurts and frustrates them that they aren't afforded the same rights as heterosexual couples who are committed to one another in the same way.

It's easy to say it's wrong, but it's a lot harder to think that when it directly affects a loved one. All I know is that I'd hate to see my husband's uncle in a situation where not having the same rights as a married couple harmed one of them. (If one of them were hospitalized, for example, the other wouldn't automatically get to make medical decisions for him.) I say don't judge another until you've walked in their shoes, or at least seen them up close.

Why not? If they're human, then they have rights and should have the same legal advantages and privileges that everyone else does. Little history lesson: before the Civil War, African-Americans were considered less than human and not allowed to marry or have legal rights to their children. Scary that it's happening again to another group. Will it take another war to rip apart the US to stop the marriage and adoption bans?

My opinion shouldn't deter you or help you in making a decision if it does then its not your action but influence of mine. if you want to know what I think, then my answer is: "I dont have an opinion" cos I am not gay and neither am I homophobic to be against them. I am on the neutral ground as far as the issue is concerned. so I would want the particular individuals to decide.

I believe that it should be legal. The only argument I could propose against people being attracted to the same sex as a negative is that it may go against evolution, along with the need to populate. However I heard a theory that being lesbian or homosexual could be a feat of evolution itself due to over population. But anyways I'm going farther into it then I should.

Yes I believe gay marriage should be allowed, just because it is unorthodox, does not mean it is wrong. I believe it is a union between two people who love eachother, not always two people who have different sets of genitals.

Just my .02 cents.
