I currently work for a senior care center..where i go to the seniors house and be with them all day. i have been with the same 93 year old women since the beginning of Jan. She was really nice at first but i hate coming here in the mornings. I come from 8-4 everyday. The pay sucks and i want to look for a new job right away. Should i tell my boss that Its not working out with us and I want another senior to work with or what.... I was suppose to be done working with her at the end of the month but she requested me to stay part time with her.

I would suggest searching for another job if you hate it that much. It really isn't worth staying at a job that you hate. It creates too much unnecessary stress in your life.

working with them old folks can be challenging
and just when ya get to liking the job
they croak on you.
if you are a top care provider trained for all emergencys then you could be making 50K a year to start working as a private duty nurse
but you aint going to get THAT job without first toughing it out where you are right now and getting all the valuable experience that will help ya get the big bucks down the road
the only way to start making money is to find a spot and squat and the money will get right. if you do your job

I'm so sorry that you hate your job:(. It's not cool to hate what you do for a living, I love what I do...and I wrote a promotional post for all those who are looking to find something like doing, that earns them money and is legit:). If it's that one particular senior, then talk to your boss about it. If it's the job itself, don't tell your boss, but look for a new job on the side. When you land something you're interested in, then let your boss know (through a 2-week notice or such).
