4L60E in Monte Carlo?

I have an 84 Monte Carlo, with a 229 v6. Could I put a 4L60E in it? The old Trans was positively neglected by the previous owner, and I'd rather just get a new trans then try and repair it.

You cannot put an electronically controlled transmission in it without the computer. Your best bet would be to get a 700R4 and slap that baby in there. No wires to worry about and they are pretty much the same transmission.
