has anyone ever spread a rumor about you saying your a lesbian and you let it go and made a joke out of it but then everybody thought you where really one and you lost a lot of friends over it and your best friend turned on you.
what would you do.

Yeah, but I am a lesbian so the rumor was true. I didn't loose friends but made a lot of g/fs...Your friends don't even sound like friends so I move on and find real friends.

I cant say that this has happened to me, however if it has happened to you, Im concerned about the friends that you have. First of all your sexual preference should not have anything to do with you as a friend. A friend is just that, a friend. So your interest in boys or girls should not have any effect on your friendships. In your case it seems as though a rumor (and one that was a lie at that) has made it so that you need to take a look at those you surround yourself with. Every person that you take into your life as a friend should love and accept you unconditionaly. There are no perfect people in this world and we wont always make everyone happy. Friends may not agree with something you do or say, but they should atleast be able to see eye to eye with you and dispute any matters in an adult fashion and believe you when you say something like this is untrue. Im really sorry that you are going through this right now, but those people dont deserve to be your friends. Learn to love yourself, embrace who you are and let that shine through you every day. Eventually you will find people to fill your life that will give you the respect that you deserve if for nothing else because you are human. Good luck hun, people can be childish and ignorant.

With me, the rumours were somewhat redundant - and people who mattered to me already knew.
But rumours that are untrue can cause all sorts of problems.
Sweetie, your "best friend" is not your best friend ... time to move on.
I know it can be hard, but just ride out any problems - people will find something else to gossip about next week. If anyone bullies you, take it to the school authorities.

If your b friend don't want to hang no more SO WHAT! You can always make new friends. Besides you should focus more on why you made a joke of it, I think you are probably curious anyway.
