Is alignment required after rotation?

I need to get the tires rotated on the jeep

No, and alignment is not necessarily required after a tire rotation.

However, during a rotation, inspection of the tires may reveal that an alignment is required or recommended due to abnormal wear.

No, alignment will usually not be required when you rotate your tires. The tire place or shop may try to sell you on alignment, but in most cases it will probably not be necessary.

not unless there is excessive wear on either side of your front tires.
