Yeah, forget Cape Coral, Naples, or Fort Myers. These communities are too "young." I live in SW FL and have heard nothing about ghost tours or notorious hauntings.
Tampa and St. Pete are definitely your better bets, as the previous answerer pointed out. Good Luck!

St Augustine is probably your best bet but on the East Coast. Florida is not very wide, so not that far away from the West Coast areas (Tampa) you mention. I'll admit, while I have spent a lot of time all over Florida, I don't recall any special places that were advertised as haunted. Good Luck.

They have a walking ghost tour in downtown St. Petersburg, where they show you some of the haunts there. I think there a 2 different companies that do them, but cover the same places. Think it was $15 or $20 apiece. Been there, done that.

Sunland or "Sunnyland" psychological medical institution. discuss the creeps!! I enable my sister and her acquaintances talk me into sneaking in there years in the past. enable me say this, i did not even go interior the construction and that i bout s**t my pants. CREEPY!!!!!
