I am so proud of my parents and I truly believe they are still in love. It will never happen to 99% of us. They will be married on July 2, for 58 years and still very active and going strong. They are right now spending 3 months at Padre Island and they don't seem like they are a day over 60 which obviously they are.
I love my parents to death and when I was growing up, I was one of the few that still had parents married. I'm only in my early 40's so as you all can see this is very rare.

My parents have been married for 44 years. God Bless Them.
Also, read an obiturary last week that showed a couple who were married 80 years (married at 19) and who both died at age 99 within 2 days of each other.

Parents were married over 41 years when dad passed away at 66; mom died at 69 nine years later.
Have oldest sister married 38 years, second oldest sister married 21 years, my husband and I married over 17 years.
Yes, it can be done!

Well....since you asked (I usually don't like to boast) my parents have been married for over 50 years and still going strong. They set an example of the importance of sticking things out no matter what.

I grew up in the late 60s and early 70s in a Leave it to Beaver type neighborhood. Everyone stayed together. My parents and both sets of grandparents were together until someone died of old age.
It was pre babyboomer disaster.

It was a in a paper a few weeks ago, i cant remember what it said but it was most people with parents still together even though it doesnt seem like it.

My parents are still married, they met each other when they were in their 30... were engaged after 3 days of knowing each other, and married after 3months.... have been married for over 30 years... And they are still sickly romantic...
However, they both had previous divorces.
