Revere is the most boring place on the planet. I feel sorry you're moving there, so I doubt it there is much crime. There is much of nothing.
Move out of there as soon as you explore Boston. Try Malden, or Medford. They are a bit better than Revere and much more closer to Downtown Boston.
Revere is 10 mins from Boston? I think that's a bit of a stretch.

Hmmm. It sems strange that you are moving to Revere and do not know anything about it.
Revere is a bit of a scruffy town with a mafiosi heritage; as close to the sort of New Jersey that you see in The Sopranos that exists around Boston with most of it's housing, like northern New Jersey's close-in suburbs, being bungalows and duplexes and densely packed single 2 story homes. However, Katie's warnings about [general] crime in Revere and in metro-Boston is disingenious; for the USA crime is relatively low. Revere Beach (which is almost never closed by contamination, Katie's comment notwithstanding) is America's first public beach; the amusement parks were torn down for high-rise condos; there are still several good Italian restaurants but no real club-life. Greater Boston's Cambodian ethnic ghetto is also there. All in all, Revere is somewhat dull and quite a bit different from what's exciting and interesting about 95% of Boston/Cambridge; fortunately Revere has direct subway access to that other 95%.

Sorry I'm a little bit older than you, but I'm actually from the Boston area. I have relatives who grew up in Revere. One of my cousins still lives there. If you want the truth, I wouldn't want to live there. Parts of Revere are pretty bad - just like any other city. There are some parts that are beautiful though. There's Revere Beach right there, although at times they have to shut it down due to high levels of bacteria. I'm not sure if the amusement park is still open, but it used to be right at the beach. As far as clubs go, do NOT go out at night unless you're with a group. The cities of Boston have been undergoing some crime lately and you need to keep yourself safe. I don't want to scare you, but I'd rather you be aware of what could happen then to go there and be clueless about the place. Good Luck. And please use your head when your making decisions about night life out there.

Well, it depends where in Revere you are moving. There are parts that are nice, and the beach is nice. You'll be lucky to have Kelly's Roast Beef, and some great pizza places to sit at the beach with. Some houses around there are very nice. Then there are other parts which are pretty rough. As far as "nightlife", you would need to probably go into Boston for real clubs or anything. I'm sure you can find some local bars, but if you're looking to party, head into the city. It's worth the cab ride in.

I've lived in Massachusetts all my life. Revere is one of the cities that you DO NOT want to live. Lynn and Everett are two others. Yes Revere is right on public transportation into Boston (the Blue Line) but there really isn't much good things there....its really ghetto and full of "projects".

My sister use to live in Everett which is a neighboring town and not much better then Revere. The only good things I know about Revere is Kelly's Roast beef and Suffolk Downs Racetrack is nearby. They beach is nasty and gross. Move to NH instead.

It really depends on what you're used to. Revere is just about as densley populated as most of Boston and does have a feel of some old school mafia town. It is pretty gritty and pretty boring, but it is a suburb not a main city so you should expect travel as part of the package. Crime is probably not too bad but there will be an intimidation factor as the town is old and as I said pretty gritty.

Go to Kelly's Roast beef. Best fried clams and beef in Massachusetts. Revere used to be great in the 60's. Amusements all along the boardwalk.....not anymore...CONDO City.

It´s a dump. High crime, smelly, polluted beach with blaring music. If you like dog racing go to Wonderland, but other than that there´s nothing Revere is known for. For night life go to the Boston clubs, there´s a bunch in the theatre district.
