Bush has appointed more monorities to positions of power than any other administration, yet the liberal media will not report this and still insist on calling him a hate monger or a racist. When confronted with this liberals and democrats argue that it is a PR stunt. Damned if he does and damned if he does'nt. right?

Further more, those minorities who do work in the GOP are heavily insulted by the so called party of tolerance (democrats) by being called traitor, uncle toms and "not being black enough"

New orleans is full of poor people because it is run by democrats, and rich white people were in fact affected by hurricane Katrina, the liberal media focused only on the blacks, to push their political agenda, sir.

Humans are strange creatures. Sometimes when we want a certain answer for a certain question we help it along. Bias can be blinding.

Is it right? No.

Does it happen? All the time.

I, for one, would not go so far as to call the President a racist. That said, I would definitely argue that he is totally ignorant of the state of the races in our country today. Appointing a few minorities in positions of power is all very nice, but it does little to change the situation for many minorities in this country. Most of the issues that minorities face in our country have been ignored or worsened, including the problems with inferior schools in urban settings. What has the President done to help? He has taken away money from struggling schools and given it to the schools that do not need it. Great move. The situation with Hurricane Katrina is another example. If you go to New Orleans today, you will see that a majority of the rich, white areas are seeing real progress in rebuilding. The low income, minority areas? They don't generally look much different now than they did after the hurricane. Government help has been slow and inefficient. The President plays an important role in this, though certainly not the only one, but he has essentially ignored the issue.

I agree that it has been unfair to call the President a racist, when it is clear that he is not. It is also unfair to try to declare him the champion of minorities, too. He has proven to be neither.

Hiring token minorities is a political maneuver, nothing more. The media doesn't call him a hate monger- liberal blogs do. That's not the same. The media isn't liberal, they're objective. Unfortunately, the Republican party isn't. They did report all of his his hirings at the time (Rice and Gonzales, and again when they were promoted), how often would you like to hear the same story repeated?

The American People consider him to be a hate monger because they can find no other justification for his lies about invading Iraq. If he had been honest and told us it was retribution for the attempted assassination of his father, that really would have been okay. An assassination attempt on a President of the United States is reasonable cause for war. Instead he lied to us, and then blamed the intelligence community when he got caught, even as he was busy firing any intelligence advisor who told him what he didn't want to hear. He declare war on a battle tactic instead of a people, and then refined that down to Muslims.

Face it, your champion is an idiot. Please cut your losses, and find a better candidate for '08. I'd prefer to vote Republican, but can't conscienably do so for anyone that Bush endorses. He's lost my trust in too many ways.

Let's see....if Katrina had happened in an area with wealthy white people, Bush would have ended his vacation and been there as early as possible. But no, New Orleans is loaded with poor black people(most likely, not Bush voters) and is still a mess. Bush has the power to relocate hundreds of thousands of our own citizens on the opposite side of the world for an illegal war, yet he can't seem to help the people of NO?? How else do you translate this other than racism? Maybe Bush hates poor people. Either way, I believe he is red neck whose father was able to get him a job.....kind of similar to how Paris Hilton is famous - Same idea applies.

Actually, being racist might be a step up for GWB. At least it would mean he cares about white people, and could be perhaps persuaded to regard others as part of his community. It's happened.

The sad reality is that GWB is a sociopath/psychopath and only regards others as tools for his vanity and greed. Objectively, GWB might be racist because minorities are among the most vulnerable citizens and are thus more likely to suffer from his socipathic policies. Katrina is just one of many examples. So call him racist if you want to... He is one of the few people it is impossible to slander.

You know, that is the one thing I don't believe I have ever heard anyone accuse him of being. With more minorities in his Administration than any other President, unless it is some sort of pandering, he probably is not a racist. That being said, some of the programs that minorities depend on have received major budget cuts under Bush. It may be because he doesn't care who just cut, cut ,cut to pay for his war.

Somehow this man who called himself the uniter not a divider has only united more people in the US and around the world against him. For the first time people of all different ilk have come together to express disdain for Bush and his minions.

Sadly, he is considered a racist by some because he, (and the republican party), has cut back on excessive welfare programs, which are quite frankly being severely abused and misused, I am in agreement with the president on this one. And he is also wrongly faulted for being the first president in xx years to not address the NAACP, but when former NAACP Chairman, Julian Bond is calling him Hitler and other blatant disrepectful names, I applaude him for snubbing them during Bond's reign
Then there is Katrina, where no one cares about the absolute incompetence of mayor Nagin, the magnitude of the devastation, (which couldnt be avoided), and stupidity of the mass quantities of morons, (black, white, whoever.), who stayed behind against the advisement of authorities, and created further havoc upon themselves & each other, but instantly shift all of the blame to the president, "He must hate the Chocolate people!"

You're right he aint no racist but more of a intellectually-challenged, greedy, c-average business man helping out other businesses that only benefits him whether directly or indirectly. The c-average is kinda suspect along with his business dealings but outside of that ultimately your right he's no racist.

Bush can't do anything right. It's the sad truth about how easily the liberals in America have captured the media and hoodwinked the nation. People don't even listen to reason anymore, they just spew out the same things abc and msnbc keep reporting.

I've only heard clowns like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson refer to the President as a racist. Even blacks know that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are complete frauds.
