is it ok to match my boyfriend? like same colors, um... yesterday he wore a pinstriped hat, white tshirt, blue jeans, and gray chucks, as i wore a pinstriped skirt, black chucks, gray shirt. is it ok to match? i love matching people, so every day i see him, ill call him up, and tell him what to wear. and whats is a good style for a 16 year old boy tall, skinny, blonde hair, who i love to dress and make cuteR, hes like my barbie, no ken doll. hes kind of, um... goofy, i suppose, hes just not really serious, hes a jokester, and he loves to have fun. summers coming up, and im looking forward to getting matching swimsuits, and dressing him.

Wow...well if your boyfriend doesn't mind it. More power to you both!

I'll be honest, it seems a bit controlling that you call him up and tell him what to wear. If you both just happen to have the same fashion sense i.e. sporty, emo, goth, preppy. Then it's bound to happen anyways that you will dress similar. The outfit you described him wearing and yours was complimentary to each other without being freakishly alike, (think Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake in the Denim Dan duo). It sounds like he might have a low self-esteem and you are a more forceful person, so you take advantage of the fact he doesn't stand up to you. You don't respect him or view him as an equal, more of a possession, therefore you treat him as such. Something to entertain yourself with. Look how you objectify him by calling him your ken doll, order him around on what to wear. You don't love him, you love controlling your plaything. It's sad to think he feels trapped in this relationship because he can't stand up to you. Just my opinion!

I dont think you should match completely but have a similiar style. For example, if you are wearning a brown bikini with silver chain detail, Maybe he will wear an olive green boardshort that way you still will kind of look good together but not totally matchy matchy

last weekend i saw a couple. wearing almost the same thing. white tshirt and jeans and converse. they were like twins. i think its no sense to wear as like that as a couple.

its better to match your STYLE; NOT THE CLOTHES. i mean; for example when you wear more sporty, bf wears sporty too.

ur ridiculous, and ur bf needs to dress with his own sense of style. the only time my boyfriend and i have ever bought matching clothes (same colors, shoes) was for professional pictures. if u keep treating ur bf like a barbie, he's going to become one, and how boring would that be!!!

dear, only twins do that. =) wouldn't it be nicer if you and your boyfriend, for example, wore the same color of shirt coincidentally? think about it! now that's destiny..

as many others have said, it's horribly obsessive and cheesy.
you might as well grow a mustache and a penis if you want to match so bad.
