The reason these (and MANY other) compounds have HCl appended to the active drug molecule, is so they will survive in your stomach. If they weren't attached to an HCl, then the HCl in your stomach would attack the drug molecules and they would be useless, or possibly have a toxic metabolite.

The HCl appended to the drug is OK.

prolly not on a reg. basis, but ask a medical person, not on here!!!!!!!! THE MAIN INGREDT., IN b., IS WHAT THEY PUT IN MOST sleepaids, be careful!!!!!!!
