Im try to get my deisel tractor mower model 330 tractor to engage the blades and nothing. I 'm new to this tractor i'm not familiar with it i replaced the switch. it starts fine and goes. i can adjust the height. belts are fine. any suggestions to check elsewhere to engage blades?

All riding mowers have a seat pressure switch that disables the mower if the seat is unoccupied. You want to check the contacts on this switch located under the seat. You can check for continuity if you have a multimeter. Most likely this is your problem. If you don't own a test light and multimeter you are going to have a hard time chasing down your problem. Replacing parts is expensive and electrical parts are not returnable. If you cant chase out the problem then take it to a certified John Deere technician. Good luck.

If it is a hydrostatic drive, the speed selector arm must be in neutral, that is not calling for forward or reverse speed.

You might try wiggling the speed selector while turning on the mower switch. Or there may be another interlock switch. A local JD dealer should be able to give you free advice.

are you sure all the belts are on tight and correct? i mow for the public schools and when our tractor doesnt work proper it is usually to do with the blades
