The best comedy movie is Plains, Trains and Automobiles
All of the National Lampoon Vacation movies are classic.
Talledega Nights is a funny new one. And Starsky and Hutch.
I don't like gory horror. I loved The Shining, which is more creepy and eerie than bloody.

Horror - Near Dark - Vampires on a road trip.(80's)
Action - LA Confidential - Russell Crowe,Guy Pierce,Kim Bassinger - 40's cop story - lots of action.(90's)
Comedy - Some Like It Hot - Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon-2 guys in drag on the run from the mob.(1958)
Bonus-all around great movie - The Big Chill - great cast,music and story.(70's)

The Decent is kind of mind bending for Horror.
Crank is a great action movie, non stop
best all time comedy has to be Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Who doesn't like a little Time Warp every now and then.

Okay for Horror you should try out Signs, Dawn of the Dead, at night ONLY!
For Action try out MI: 3. Casino Royal (Bond is bad but action is good).
For Comedy try Theres Something About Mary, ScaryMovie ( the first one is the best but the other ones also funny)
