Go to the USCIS website and look at Visas. General visa requirements are:
General requirements for foreign nationals seeking temporary admission include, but are not limited to, the following:
The purpose of the visit must be temporary;
The foreign national must agree to depart at the end of his/her authorized stay or extension;
The foreign national must be in possession of a valid passport;
A foreign residence must be maintained by the foreign national, in most instances;
The foreign national may be required to show proof of financial support;
The foreign national must be admissable or have obtained a waiver for any ground of inadmissability;
The foreign national must abide by the terms and conditions of admission.
I would call them at 1-800-375-5283 or call the US Consulate in Sydney to see if your convictions are grounds for inadmissability. Good luck!

Well... for starters, you don't need a visa if you're a national from a European Union country, Canada or Japan. If you do need a visa you will never get it in time for a flight on Thursday. The process in some countries can take up to a month. Find the website of the American embassy in your country to find out more details. Look under the consular/visa section. All the information you need will be there. Oh... and yes, a criminal record in general will disqualify you so your best bet is to not mention it and hope the embassy doesn't find out.

only one visa is needed for all of China. you do not opt for a visa for Hong Kong or Macau. You shourld really relish Guangzhou! Shenzhen and Hong Kong are only a short bus holiday away and are also large places to purchase and are available across. in case you'd be crossing borders to different international places you will get a multi-get entry to visa. consistently watch your wallet heavily and good purchase not ordinary!!!

it is not true that you are automatically excluded from the us with a conviction
but you are automatically ineligible for the visa waiver program so you absolutely will need a visa
and you have left it way too late to get one

you need a visa whether or not you have convictions.
having convictions will mean that your visa will be denied.

depends on your country of origin...your travel agent should have let you know...generally, it takes a few days to get a visa..I am hoping you already have a passport from your country of origin...may be a very short trip.

Your travel agent should have told you and got you a visa.
However they wont let you in with convictions.

They are not interested in parking or speeding offences. Don't bother to declare them on the declaration you fill in on the aircraft.
But certainly anything more serious - if they find out, you won't get in.

You wont get a visa if you have a criminal record so you'll have to go somewhere else.
