I heard that some guy DIED because he got his lip pierced and then it got infected and he DIED. Does anyone else think this is true??

load of bull.. I have had my lip pierced for a little while and even when I first had it and it got infected it wasn't any more than a little discomfort.. older people and other people who have stoneaged ideas that peircings should be confined to the ears make up bull s*** stories to try to scare us off of it.... unless you are an idiot and refuse to go to the doc, a lip piercing is HARMLESS

I had heard almost the same story but it was with a tonge piercing. It got infected and he didn't go to the doctor. He kept getting a white bump around it and then he died...

Anyone who allows their lip piercing to get infected is a total moron, anyways. I've had mine done for the past few months... And after 2 weeks it was fully healed. One of my easiest to heal piercings. Basically, non-alochol mouth wash, and brushing your teeth. :P

Yes it can happen. With any piercing, cut, or hole in the body, you have to be careful and make sure you clean it. If not you can get a very bad infection that affects the blood and you can die, get extremely sick, or lose the feeling in that part of the body.

I don't think so because my bf has snakebites as long you take care of it and if you do get infected go to the doctor right away. if he did died it was because of the infected he did take care Of before it got out of hand

well maybe he got a STAF infection.. lol but ive never heard of a lip piercing killing anyone. tongue piercings can. and nipple piercings if either are pierced srong and or get infected although these occurnaces are very rare..

Even if 1 in 10 people died from STUPID piercings you march step liberal schmucks would keep piercing away.

possibly but if your thinking of gettting your lip peirced don't do it. You may not llike iit when your older and you'll have a hole in your lip
