No sound card was found. If one is expected, you should install a sound driver provided by the hardware manufacturer.

Computers don't really see the speakers as such. hey see the audio card. This can be on the motherboard or can be a special sound card. The PC will have configuration for the various speaker setups, like PC speaker, Stereo speaker surround sound an so on. If you are not getting any sound it is most like that the sound card issue. Get the latest drivers installed for this. Use winsowsupdate to ensure that DX drivers are up to date. Finally if the sound card is Plug N Play they you can force the system to relook at the system by reinstalling the sound card and reloading the PC - it should automatically find the system on reboot. Hope this help a little, good luck.

Are your speakers plugged into the correct location?
Also, check your audio drivers.
To see what audio card you have installed, go to start then run and type in DXDIAG. Go to the sound tab, and check there.
Also, go to start then control panel. Go to sounds and Audio and check to see if you are muted there. I'd reinstall the audio driver just to make sure.

Goto start /control panel/sounds speach and audio devices, press one then goto audio and see your default devices are right. If not next turn system off and remove sound card. turn on let run/ turn off .reinstall sound card and see if it reinstalls correctly. If no sound card (onboard sound)uninstall drivers then/scan for changes should take it too windows updates and reinstall. If onboard sound fails buy soundcard than should work perfectly after install.Could be multiple problems????Card could be bad.......Onboard fail........Drivers lost.......Good Luck!!!!
