Ok i have a dogde avenger 96 but i dont know what kind of oil to put in it....I looked in the book and I couldnt find the type..I been using 10w-30 is that ok

5W30 is what is recommended for your vehicle, but if you are in a warm climate you will not hyrt the vehicle using 10W30

on my van, the specified oil is marked on the oil fill cap. my van takes 5w30. my blazer took the same weight of oil.

If it ever gets below 0F where you are, use 5W30. Otherwise, 10W30is fine.

ask the dealer they should know since their the ones who have to work on the car.
