I used to watch this tv show about a mannequin in a department store. He comes to life when you take off his hat. He wore a matching checkered red hat and vest(or was it green?). He fell in love with the store clerk. The department store security guard used to keep a metal container of liquor in his breast pocket and occassionally take a swig from it. If I'm not mistaken some characters were puppets. Please help me. I'm trying to find old footage of this but I can't seem to remember the name. It's not mannequin the movie with Kim Catrall. I know it's a TV show because I watched it regularly and I think they had weekly episodes.

on account that i'm 50 years old i grew to become into already grown in the 1980's yet various the shows my babies watched back then grew to become into; The Bozo tutor, The Cosby tutor, 8 is sufficient, repute, Squarepegs, you are able to no longer try this on television.
