Even speaking as a woman, I will tell you why:
Men take in spacial and perephrial vision information more accurately than women. This is a scientific fact. You see and can determine where things are a little better. Why do you think women always accuse men of tailgating - women cannot follow that close and stop in time cuz it takes them longer to actually stop the car. Women are also more likely to be on the phone or disciplining kids in the back. That is why I stay off the dang phone and pay attention to one thing at a time.

Yes, men are better drivers than women, but at the same time, they are far worse. In general they have better depth perception and reaction time as well as a better understanding of the limits of their car (though this is by no means genetically exclusive to men!). The problem is, men also tend to do stupid things more often than women, resulting in higher insurance premiums. This is why men both dominate racing sports and have higher insurance premiums.
Also, I do not understand the guy who said that female Air Force pilots are more likely to return from war. Until extremely recently, combat missions have been the exclusive domain of men and it only makes sense that men would come back less often; they were being shot at and women were not...

Women, in general, aren't terrible drivers. In fact, women have been proven to be better drivers than men.
1 in every 9 persons getting a driving violation is a woman.
Did you know that more women pilots came home from war than men?
Women have what is called intensified intuition and don't question it.

you need to put this question under stereotyping, because that is what you are doing. as teenagers, boys have higher insurance rates than girls, and when they become adults men have more accidents than woman. I am 49, and have never had an accident, or a speeding ticket. how many have you had?

Another generalization. Actually the facts show that women are safer drivers, why our insurance is cheaper. So, get your facts straight.

at the same time as vehicles were invented, the region of girls became commonly to guard the kinfolk which lined known jobs mutually with cooking, cleansing and raising toddlers. the boys drove to artwork daily. hence, those skills are deeper ceded in men for that diverse reason.

Why do men make broad generalizations with no proof to back up their claims?
And FYI, yes I am aware of the irony, that was the point.
